Here’s how we identify what you need. A sound crown with hairline cracking gets CrownSeal, a flexible membrane rated for 400°F that bridges cracks up to 1/8 inch. For crowns with spalling (surface flaking) or partial loss, CrownCoat builds back material in 1/4-inch layers. When the crown has washed out at the edges or lost its slope, we form and pour a new crown using Gelco forms sized to your flue count - typically 13×13 inch for single flue, 17×17 inch for double flue setups common in Naperville’s 1980s-2000s construction.
